1850's iron bound solid Oak silver chest with original owners brass plaque depicting 'Sir Trevor Lawrence, Baronet'. The chest has two fitted trays, segmented for individual items of family silver, in original Victorian order. Sir Trevor Lawrence took the diploma for Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1853 before spending 10 years in the Indian Medical Service. A beautiful item from the height of the British Empire. The brass lock has the 'VR' stamp (Queen Victoria's). Measurements are 80cm in length, 53cm in width and 63cm in height. No keys are present with this piece.
